Now I know I've got to post some pics of our trip to Universal, but since these projects are done and ready to go, I thought I'd post these first. The following are from the May kit from Self-Addressed and I hope you like them. :)
Wow...what an exhausting trip! We actually got back a couple of days ago, Wednesday night to be exact and I'm sooooo tired. Spending 4 days walking around the parks with 2 kids takes alot out of you. ;) Thank god for onsite hotels too, our room key was our express key and we waited no more than 5 minutes for any ride and most rides we just walked on. This helps so much when you have 2 little ones that don't comprehend time and waiting and when they got off one ride and wanted to go again we'd just walk back on. :) So fun! My daughter has now taken to giant roller coasters where as my little guy, he still prefers the little ones, so I spent most of my time with him taking him on ride after ride in Suess World. Well, I uploaded the 255 photos I took to my computer but now must resize them in order to post them here but tomorrow when I get off work, I'll upload a few of my favorites. It's always more fun to see the pics then to read about someones trip in their blog. :)
We've now planned our trip to Colorado for July, got the confirmation already and I'm totally psyched!!! Can't wait! Janel already knows and I can't wait to see her again, and I'm hoping I can sneek in a visit with Renee and Khileen too while we're out there. :)
Well, it's really early, about 5:30am and wanted to sneak a post in before we left. We are off to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventures for 4 days. We'll be back Wednesday night. The only thing left to do is put the kitchen sink in the car and turn on the alarm. ;) We will be staying at the Portofino Bay Hotel which is an onsite hotel and the coolest one ever. We won't stay anywhere else. So, we'll see you all when we get back. ;)
I never thought I'd see this day...the reason, I just worked 17 days straight without a day off. I was either at the Fire Dept or the scrapbook store, teaching classes, or going to class and it seemed that I would never have a day to myself. Tomorrow, (friday), I'm finally OFF! But it's a day filled with errands, of course. Then back to the FD on Saturday for my regular shift but then on Sunday morning....REALLY early Sunday morning, we are leaving for Universal Studios and Islands of Adventures for 4 days. Can't wait, I'm excited because the kids are excited.
The class I had to take was mandatory for work. And if the very name of this class doesn't make you want to run to the nearest starbucks for a triple shot of espresso, nothing will. It was called, "Advanced Level Incident Command for Large and Complex Incidents"...it was a 40 hour class given at Broward Sheriff's Headquarters and it was interesting but sooooooo boring!!! I never thought it would end, but thankfully, I did learn quite a bit and thank god it's over.
So...I still have so much to do, I MUST get caught up on my Sweetwater designs, Self- Addressed designs, I have a circle journal to complete and need to get started on my Just Johanna designs as well. Will there ever be a light at the end of the tunnel? ;)
Gosh...the funny things my little guy says, it get's me everytime! Last night I was sitting outside with him while he was playing, and noticed a gozillion little love-bugs flying around and commented about them. Well, my little Connor turns around to me and says, "Hey mommy, there was a love-bug in grandmas car but he was missing his partner!"...I lost it! ;)
So after another couple of rough days, personally, I have finally got some FABO news. A couple of days ago it was raining, (pretty hard I might add too), when the phone rang. It was Johanna from, Just Johanna and she and Julie had me on speaker phone, (which wasn't the best connection) but what I got out of the conversation was that I was selected for another term on her Design Team. I'm so excited...I love her stamps, they are so much fun to use and very addictive. "Thanks Johanna" for another opportunity to create for you! ;)
I can't very well go to sleep tonight without posting this first. I can't my believe my little baby girl has turned 10 today. That's right, she was born 10 years ago today at 3:35pm and I remember it like it was yesterday. I remember all the details, the induction, the 7 hours of labor, (thank god that's all it was) to the arrival of my little 6 pounder. How in the world has 10 years passed so quickly? It doesn't seem possible that she went from a little baby to a beautiful little 10 year old. So with that...Happy Birthday to my sweet baby girl...I love you so much! ;) But slow down little girl, I'm not ready for the teen years yet. :)
I REALLY LOVE stamps from, Just Johanna. I say it every month...but I really do. They are so cute and so much fun to create with. These are the cards I made for this month and the sweet little polka dot papers I used are from Sweetwater. The little project I did is a little teeny card organizer which is made from cardstock and it holds 3 x 3 cards. I hope you enjoy. :)
The following pics are photos of the cards I made..
