Progress!! We have been slowly renovating our living room / dining room / bedroom over the last few months and it's finally coming to an end. Thankgod...no more sanding, painting, demolitions or fights. So I thought I'd share a couple photo's of our new (and improved) rooms that we've been working on. In our living room / dining room, we ripped up all the old NASTY carpet and tile and laid new flooring. Keith painted the walls, added bigger baseboards and framed out the French doors. I donated the old sofa and replaced it with a sectional and area rugs from Pottery Barn, we kept the dining room table and china cabinet 'cause I do like them. And finally added the Farmhouse Hutch from Pink Hibiscus that I seriously looked for months upon months for. (It was just delivered yesterday, so it's empty for now), but I LOVE it!!! It's perfect for that back wall that for years had nothing on it but a little fish tank.
And don't you just hate that beer tap by the china cabinet??? It's the one piece I just cannot get rid of no matter how hard I try). :)
Notice Roxy sitting in the corner of the pic, (lol)...she's so goofy. And yes I know there's a missing coffee table in front of the sectional...that one is on order too from the sweetest shop called Cottage Chic and it'll be here in another few weeks, but here's a pic of it and don't you just LOVE the color??? It's called "Cotton Candy Blue" and it's another piece that I searched months and months for until I saw it and said "THIS IS IT"!!! Here it is:
And finally here's what we did in our bedroom....we ripped up the old flooring, added new flooring, painted over the old ugly sage green paint, took down the hideous floral wallpaper border we had up, framed out the windows, (which still need to be caulked and painted), added new baseboards and crown molding. New blinds are on order but I still want a panel of drapes in there but Keith is very hesitant, (I'm still working on that too). I donated our very old, white iron bed and replaced it with the "Charlotte" headboard from Pottery Barn, and I'm loving it. I just wanted something simple for a change. (Guess I should've picked up Keith's clothing and the towel roll before taking the pic but you get the idea). Also, we need to move our little shelf up a teeny bit, it's a little too low. Anyway, I hope you like.
We love comfort and are sooooo not modern people and so far, I'm really liking what we've done and hope you do to..
And lastly what would new rooms be without new remote control cars??? Connor wanted me to show you all a couple of photos of his new car....So much easier to play with on the new floors!!
Have a wonderful week everyone and please continue to post comments for the Cupcards blog hop...you could be a winner!!! ;)
