First off, I just want to say that you all say the nicest things and it was so much fun to read each and every comment.  Seriously, you girls are awesome for saying the sweetest things.  Makes me want to make a ton more.  :) 

I know, you all want a winner and once again, I know 33 of you will be disappointed and I really, really wish I had something to send each and every one of you.  It breaks my heart that I only have one extra copy of this issue to give away.  The easiest thing for me to do was to go to Random.org and have the computer pick a number for me....so the winner of the "Mini-Albums" issue is:

Primitive Valentines pillows & another fun giveaway...

Hey everyone.  I had a fabulous day off yesterday.  I haven't had time to myself like that in quite awhile.  I love it now that the kids are back in school and I can reclaim mornings now, as my own.  Yesterday when I came home from work I had 4 1/2 hours of nothing but me time, so I dove into my craft room and really didn't have the urge to craft anything from paper, I had more the urge to make something from fabric.  I have a little secret drawer in my room that holds a ton a fat quarters that I've picked up from various places here and there, and when I see them, I just gotta have em.  I picked up this fabric along time ago, gosh...I can't even remember where, I think it was at a quilt shop, and I just fell in love with it.  So I grabbed that stack and made some primitive Valentine's pillows.  I used old vintage bottlecap tags that I can't seem to remember where I picked them up at, (I think Stampington's), and Melissa Frances glittered chipboard.  I drew a primitive heart as a template then simply cut out the fabric, sewed, stuffed and embellished.  I also decided to piece together a little quilt using some of the other fabric that came with the rest.  It's been a while since I pieced anything and since I didn't want to actually hand-quilt that baby together, I instead tied on buttons.  The little quilt measures about 9 x 12.  I'm actually thinking about opening up an Etsy site and these may be the first additions, I'll keep you posted.  Hope you like everything.
