Vintage Valentines...part 3.

I promise you, I will eventually run out of this fabric and will continue with other creations, but for now, since I love this so much, I will show you yet one more sweet creation with this vintage fabric.  I think I made just about everything I could with it, then decided on some Valentines ornaments.  I started first with a template, then cut, sewed and stuffed, then embellished once again with walnut dyed ink tags, and brown buttons.  These look absolutely as sweet as can be on a little baby Frasier, (mine is fake of course)...and yet it's one more excuse to keep my little tree up that much longer.  I hope you enjoy my little Valentine ornaments and did I mention that these little cuties will be posted to my Etsy site tonight??  I hope you enjoy! :)

Vintage Valentines...part 2.

I've been in my craft room for a couple of more days still finding myself on this little fabric kick of mine, and decided to create yet more stuffed Valentines pillows, cards and a cute little stuffed owl.  Everything will be available on my Etsy site tonight, and I hope you all enjoy some more, (and some of the same), Vintage Valentines creations.  This fabric I've been using is all me.  I love the tiny flowers and red gingham checked fabric so much, I almost hope I never run out.  :)  I made the tags myself, by dipping them into walnut ink, (a lost art, that I find oddly soothing), then stamped them with sentiments.  The owl was made by first creating a template, then just piecing him together.  Hope you enjoy!!

Vintage Valentines...

Hello everyone!  Yes...I am still here, having taking off close to a month from blogging, not by choice but due to a wide variety of things going on in my life. I'm hoping all of you had a Happy New Year and are finding 2010 the start of a wonderful New Year. 

I am back, and hopefully I won't be gone this long in the future and I thank each and every one of you for hanging in there with me as I get my act back together.  :)  I'm starting this post with some very sweet Vintage Valentines projects.  I'm in love with fabric and this fabric in-particular, so I created some more Vintage style pillows and cards that will be posted to my Etsy store tonight.  I hand-dyed the tags in Walnut ink, then stamped them with different sentiments, the pillows were easy to do after first creating a template on which to use.  These may look familiar as I made these a while back.  The first batch of pillows I made are going to be published in an upcoming "Handmade" issue, (though I can't remember which one, I think Feb / Mar), I guess I'll just have to wait and see, but for now...I hope you enjoy some new ones.
