Sea World...

This past July 18th, I drove up to Orlando to drop my daughter off at camp for 3 weeks, which was harder for me than for her, I think, (it's the longest she's ever been away from me), and after our hour long goodbye, Connor and I got back in the car and drove for another 20 minutes or so to Sea World.  I had promised my son that since Courtney was going to have the time of her life for 3 weeks, I would take him to Sea World for a day.  He was "SOLD"!  He loves Sea World, he really does love everything about it, and I have to admit, I think it's one of the best "theme" parks out there.  He loves to look at all the animals, and for him, feeding and touching the dolphins is THE highlight of the trip.  So my son and I spent the day there, but my thoughts were with my daughter and if I could really stand to be away from her for 3 loooooong weeks.  But I'm happy to say that she's loving it, (today I believe, she's off to Blizzard Beach), and she'll be home in just over a week.  And I'm ready for that.  So enjoy a few photos from Sea World, I did not take as many this time as I did last year, but I think you'll get what our day was like.  :)

Yummmmmmmy!!!!

Have you seen this?  This has to be the sweetest, sweetest bake shop EVER!  I don't do a lot of baking, but when I do I really like what I make to be extra-ordinary, (meaning...not something you'd see at your local market), but something to which someone may say, "You made that?"  And, "Where did you find those?"  I may take it up more after seeing the just the cutest cupcake toppers and sprinkles, edible glitter and cupcake wrappers I have ever seen.  You've gotta check the Layer Cake Shop and get your credit card ready!

Sweet Onions!

Have any of you ever tried the stamps from Purple Onion Designs?  The are oh-so-sweet and oh-so fun to use.  I love their designs and for them this month, I created three cards and a little gift bag that I really love.  My inspiration came from these sweet felted-woolies from Maya Road, and in true, pink and green fashion, created some fun cards that are a little different from my usual style, but every now and then you've gotta think outside the box right?  Anyway, I hope you enjoy.  :)

A little something for you to enjoy...

We're getting close to that time again...and yes, you guessed it, it's almost time for the release of Cupcards {to go}'s August kit.  It launches August 1st and the design team is busy at work giving you all a little sneak peek of the wonderful kit to come.  :)  I hope you enjoy and I hope it wants you wanting more.  So be sure to check back, for a little blog hop, some prizes, and the full reveal!  Enjoy!!  :)

No...they are not wands!

LOL...that's what they look like don't they?  But actually they're little garden markers, or plant stakes, if you will.  I'm still on my patriotic kick, so I grabbed some more clay and created this trio of little garden stakes in glorious red, white, and blue which seems to be everything to me these days.  I love being so proud that I am an American, it just makes my heart happy.  I'm not a fanatic or anything, just proud.  :)  Anyway, these little guys stand about 14 inches tall, and basically I made them in the same style as my patriotic lollipops, only this time I embossed the clay first by squishing it between the paisley pattern Cuttlebug embossing template.  Then I used a star cookie-cutter, cut them out, baked them, distressed them with antique medium and finished them with glitter and a painted wooden dowel.  I hope you enjoy them, and you might find these on my Etsy site a little later too.  :)
