My name is Hilary and I am officially the world's worst blogger! :) I have soooo missed being here, and to take this much time off is really unlike me, but WOW!!!! Have the last 2 months been busy. Let me see if I can sum it up for you in a short paragraph...The month of December is ALWAYS the busiest month as I'm sure it is for all of you as well, but for me it started off with my son Connor's 9th Birthday party, then it was trying to finish Christmas shopping, I still had my shift work at the Fire Dept to do, then I left for New York to enjoy a white Christmas with my kids for almost 3 weeks, it was totally amazing, lots of skiing and ice-skating and well, it was a much needed break for me and I loved every minute of being away. Then after I got home, I got slammed with the flu which knocked me out for the last week, and I'm still recovering. BUT the good news is.....I'M BACK!!!!
I have a New Year's resolution to be a better blogger this year, why??? Well, because I love my blog, I've had for, oh I'm guessing, almost 5 years now, and I'll never give it up, but sometimes I do have to take a break from time-to-time, but now I'm ready to turn bad into good! :) So I will start the New Year off with just a couple of little projects I did the other day and will hopefully be able to post more in the future and maybe at the start of next week....I'll have a GIVEAWAY!!! I know you all like those. So thank you sooooo very much for all of you that have still checked in here and I'm sorry that when you did there was nothing new to see. So I hope you enjoy what I have posted below.
A little birthday gift bag, and card made with papers from Jenni Bowlin, October Afternoon, Pink Paislee, rub-ons and glittered star from Melissa Frances, star stick pin and butterfly die are from a Jenni Bowlin kit and the little buttoned flowers are from Sassafras. Enjoy!!! ;)
And before I left for New York, I made a couple of quick little gift basket, (because you all know how much I LOVE to make baskets). I know it's past Christmas, but you can alter these to fit any Holiday and I thought you'd all like to see them anyway. I used some "older" Christmas papers from Pink Paislee, crepe paper from Melissa Frances, glittered flowers from Prima and chipboard die cuts from K&Company. The handles are chenille pipe cleaners. Enjoy!
And who doesn't love candy-cane kisses??? I just had to photo this lonely little guy, he looks so yummy!
I hope you all have enjoyed everything and thanks so much for finding your way back here! Really! I have missed it here in blog-land and promise to never take this much time off again. It's really good to be back!!! Hugs to all!!! ;)
