Hey everyone!! Did all you patriotic American's out there know that tomorrow, June 14th, is Flag Day? :) Actually, admitted, I had to look up the date myself, but that didn't stop me from creating a card for it. For this card I used a couple of dies from Sizzix, Tag & Bookplates, Old Glory from Tim Holtz, & Americana Background and Borders embossing folders. I also used pattern paper from BoBunny, a die cut from Beatriz Jennings' Etsy shop, Cardstock from Papertrey Ink, epoxy stickers from K&Company, misc fabric and trim and walnut ink from Tsukineko and of course, my absolute favorite adhesives from Therm O Web, 3D Zots, Sticky Tape Runner and 1/4 inch Super Tape! I hope you enjoy!
To make the card, I dipped a tag into liquid walnut ink, then set it aside to dry. Once dry I embossed it was stars and inked it further to make them pop. Then I die cutted a flag from batting and fabric, then adhered them both together, adding a batting star and rusty bell as well. I machine stitched a border at the bottom with die cut stars from batting and adhered a paper die cut and epoxy sticker. Then just added the entire tag to a card front using 3D Zots from Therm O Web. Below are some pics to show some steps.
I hope you enjoy! Happy Flag Day tomorrow everyone!! ;)
