Hi everyone! I have a fun Valentines project for you. I love making sweet little Valentines gifts. They're not only fun for kids to receive, but for adults to receive as well. These lollipop holders are vintage inspired and I used a bunch of Sizzix dies to create these. I've described them as pillows.....well, you're just going to have to follow the tutorial to find out why! :) Below, I've included a bunch of photos as well as a step-by-step to show you just how I made the them.
Okay let me show you how I made these.
From Sizzix I used the following dies:
Mini Love Struck, movers and shapers
Other supplies needed: Pattern paper, poly fiberfill, crepe paper fringe, alphabet stamps, black stamping ink, distressing ink, silver german glass glitter, gingham ribbon, buttons, bakers twine, your sewing machine, scoring tool, permanent adhesive, hot glue, 3D glue dots and spray adhesive.
For your first step, you will need to die cut hearts and squares using Sizzix Framelits' shapes, cutting two hearts for each one heart you want to make. Then distress with Vintage Photo distressing ink around each piece.
Next machine stitch around the two squares...
Then add a small amount of poly-fiberfill to the center of one of the hearts, (not too much though, you want your heart to still lay flat without buckling). Adhere a tiny bit of permanent adhesive around the edges, then lay another heart on top, aligning the edges...
then stitch around the outside of the heart.
Next I rounded the stitched square to give a slight bend, scored the two edges, then applied a bead of hot glue to the sides and adhered to the center of the puffed heart.
Next die cut three hearts from heavyweight cardstock, spray lightly with adhesive then sprinkle on some glitter, shaking off the excess and adhere to the corner of the puffed heart as shown using a 3D glue dot.
To finish your heart, adhere some fringe around the edges using hot glue, then add a bow with a button adhering with hot glue as well. I decided to stamp sentiments on mine, though I didn't think of it till I was done so I stamped my sentiments on when I was finished, I would suggest doing that before. :)
Voila!!! Add a lolly and your ready to give! Super easy to make especially when your using your Sizzix Framelits! Enjoy!! :)
