Hey everyone! Are you heading oversees anytime soon? Got a trip to Paris, Sydney, or Milan planned? I wish I did, but sadly over the years my travels have kept me here in the gold 'ol USA, but I would love to someday travel beyond and see the world around me. I love and adore these papers and embellishments from Authentique Paper's, "Abroad" collection. They keep me dreaming of the one day that I'll be able to see the wonder around me. For my project, I created a little suitcase from pattern paper, then covered it with die cuts, stickers and embellishments, and one day, I will fill it it with photos and memorabilia from the world abroad. :) I hope you enjoy!
This suitcase was so much fun to make....and truth be told, I have never constructed one from an idea in my head, so I was a little nervous, hoping I wouldn't goof. I LOVE how this turned out.
and it opens by simply taking the ribbon off, which is secured by a black mini buckle.
I truly 'love' the "Memo" paper, it's just perfect for the 'lining' of a vintage suitcase, and the photos I have sitting inside are from my vacation to Colorado several years ago.
Would you like to see how I made it? I have a step-by-step tutorial posted on the Authentique blog and all you have to do to see it, is click here! :)
I really hope you enjoyed my project today, this was one of those projects that was so much fun to make...I hope it inspires you to create one of your own.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, stop by again tomorrow for more inspiration.
