Hey everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by today. I have a super fun tutorial for you posted on the Authentique Paper blog today, showcasing the newest collection by Authentique Paper called, "Classique: Pretty". I simply adore this collection, all those pinks and blacks with hints of seafoam....it's just gorgeous. I decided to make an Accoridan Folder, which can store all sorts of things such as: favorite photos, recipes, receipts, or even coupons. This little folder can handle it all! I hope you enjoy! ;)
I really love how this project turned out. The Folder measures 5" x 7" x 2 1/2", so it's nicely sized and sure to become a favorite of yours, it already is a favorite of mine.
For the top of the Folder, I added a ribbon handle, anchored by two bright pink buttons on each end.
To make the ribbon "stiff" and handlelike...I sandwiched two lengths of 1 inch wide black polka dot ribbon between a piece of "Phoomph". "Phoomph" is a fabric stiffener, which adds weight and stiffness, through bonding sheets.
On the inside of the Folder, I created a bunch of tabbed index cards, to label.
....and lightly decorate each one with stickers.
I wanted to add a bit of texture to the Folder as well, so I chose to die cut some bright pink felt, to create a flower, and then just adhered it to the corner of my Folder.
Well I promised you a tutorial remember? To see just how I made this Accordian Folder, simply click here!
I hope you enjoyed my project today, and I hope this inspires you to create a Folder of your own.
Have a great week everyone!
