Hey everyone, thanks so much for stopping by today. I have a fun little project to share with you today using the newest Sizzix die by "Where Women Cook". This is the new "Matchbox Notebook". Oh how I adore this die, I wasn't sure if it was going to become a favorite of mine, truth be told...but after I opened it, and saw it in person, I thought how sweet this is, and how glad I am this was made. It's perfect and I'll tell you why. So many times when I'm in my car running errands, I'll find myself parked next to a Veteran, when I do...I always like to slip a note on their car thanking them for there service. I seem to be contstantly looking for a small piece of scrap paper in which to write on, and then I think it cheapens my sincerity. I think this little matchbox notebook is simply perfect to keep in my car, and when I need a quick note of thanks, I have little notecards at my disposal. How sweet!!! I LOVE this die!!! :) I hope you enjoy!
How sweet and compact, and it was very easy to put together.
For this project I used:
- Matchbox Notebook by Where Women Cook
- Medallions by Brenda Walton
- pattern paper, ("Accomplished" by Authentique Paper)
- brads, antique button and mirrored star by Tim Holtz
- mini corked heart by Studio Calico
- distressing ink, (Vintage Photo by Ranger)
- vintage tinsel (Etsy)
- black and white polka dot ribbon
- white heavy weight cardstock
- Sizzix Big Shot
- standard crease pad
I embellished the front with a medallion, some vintage tinsel and an antique button.
And when you open it, it contains these really sweet notecards, (small in size but just the right size for a little note of thanks). At the top the die contains two notecards, one with a heart cutout and one with a little bird cut out. How cute!
I couldn't help but stamp a small sentiment to the bottoms of the notecards, just keeping it simple.
And at the bottom I included a small corked heart and mini-mirrored star.
The whole little notebook stays closed with string. Simple and so sweet!!
I adore this project and I hope it inspires you to create one of your own. Let's leave notes of thanks on for all our veterans, the world will be better for it! ;)
Thanks so much for stopping by today! ;)
