Hey everyone, thanks so much for stopping by today. Today, I thought I would share with you my project for the fun celebration. Of course, who needs a reason to celebrate the most glorious Holiday of the year right?
here are a few close ups of the details...
For this card I used from Sizzix, the following dies:
Christmas Ornament, Wreath & Vine 3pk thinlits set by Jen Long
Snowflake Season Set, Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, 2pk
To create, I first embossed a piece of red cardstock, using the Snowflake Season Set textured embossing folder and my Sizzix Big Shot. Using the multipurpose platform, tab 1, I enclosed the red cardstock, into the folder, laid it down onto a cutting pad which was placed onto the platform and added another cutting pad on top, and ran it through my Big Shot.
Then lightly sanded and inked the impression to make the words stand out. I then stitched the panel to a piece of natural quilters batting.
The next step was to cut a wreath using the thinlits set, and my magnetic platform.
Place the magnetic platform onto the the Big shot, lay a cutting pad on top, the cardstock you are using, followed by the "wreath" thinlit on top, (blades cutting side down), then another cutting pad on top.
Do the same for the ornament, except use a piece of glittered cardstock.
Adhere the wreath and ornament onto the card and secure with a bow and rusty bell.
I adore how this card came out, and love that I got to participate in celebrating my most favorite of holidays in the middle of the summer.
I can't wait till Christmas now!
I hope you enjoyed my card and hope that it inspires you to create a few of your own.
